Calling all fundraising heroes!

Are you a Grid user who wants to raise money for a good cause? Whether that’s for accessible playgrounds, sensory equipment or a community project, the CareTech Foundation has funding options available.

Smartbox is part of the CareTech group, which means Grid users can access different grant funding options from The CareTech Foundation, including Match Funding and Community Grants.

Community Grant

The Foundation delivers a small grants programme that aims to support community projects in areas affected by financial hardship. You can also secure support for friends and family struggling due to cost of living or in urgent need of support to avoid an emerging financial challenge. Under this scheme, the Foundation can contribute up to £2,500 per applicant – but the amount trustees award is tailored to each application in line with the fund guidelines.

Match Funding Grant

The Foundation offers a Match Funding Grant to boost individual fundraising efforts and volunteering for charitable causes supporting registered charities. Those eligible can award up to £350 per year (or the equivalent amount in your currency, if applying from overseas).

Who can apply?

Anyone who is an existing user of Smartbox, either in the UK or globally, is eligible for the grants.

The following conditions apply:

• You cannot fundraise or volunteer to purchase Smartbox products
• You must have raised at least £50 for a registered charity (this applies to the Match Funding grant only)
• Please make sure you provide evidence of the fundraising or volunteering activity

Who are the CareTech Foundation?

The CareTech Foundation is an independent grant-making corporate foundation set up in 2017 and registered with the Charity Commission. They are funded and founded by CareTech Holdings Limited.
