Bringing her passion to life with Grid Pad 16
Sarah is a freelance writer based in the US, who has been using AAC devices for many years. Sarah is passionate about baseball and is a long-time supporter of the Los Angeles Dodgers team. She uses her communication aid to write game reports for a number of high-profile sport publications, including the Major League Baseball (MLB) website. She is also a published author of two historical fiction novels, and is currently working on her third. Following a neck injury, Sarah switched from using her AAC device with a head pointer to eye gaze access. She experimented with various vocabularies in Grid, both text and symbol-based, and now uses Fast Talker. Earlier this year, Sarah became a product tester for Grid Pad 16. Sarah was impressed by its ease of use and flexibility. She found the Lumin-i eye gaze camera especially responsive and easy to control. She also appreciated the clear sound quality and found the Smart Buttons helpful for quick navigation. Sarah, Grid Pad 16 product tester Sarah appreciated the larger, clearer screen on Grid Pad 16, which made it easier to read text, even without her glasses, and enhanced her experience as a writer. Her feedback highlights how personalised AAC can play a key role in supporting independence and self-expression.
Grid Pad 16 is easy to use and flexible enough to meet an individual’s needs. I like the Smart Buttons, especially the button to go to Grid Explorer.
