Try the new whiteboard in Grid
Grid now includes a whiteboard feature, perfect for drawing or writing using your fingertip on the screen. You can change your pen width and colour to best fit your drawing or message. Communication partners can also use this feature to help support someone’s understanding. This whiteboard feature will be included in new Grid content designed for people with aphasia, coming later this Autumn. Read more about this new content further down the blog! Please note, the whiteboard feature has been designed to be used as a communication support, rather than an art tool. Explore the latest Grid release notes on the Smartbox Hub. Available in the following languages: Afrikaans, Arabic, Czech, Danish, German (Austria), German (Germany), Greek, English (Australia), English (Canada), English (UK), English (NZ), English (USA), English (South Africa), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (USA), Finnish, French (Canada), French (France), Hebrew, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch (Belgium), Dutch (Netherlands), Slovakian and Swedish. We recently announced new Grid content at Communication Matters for people with aphasia. The whiteboard will be an important part of this grid set, helping people to find the words they need. Research shows that people who have aphasia often use many methods of communication to get their message across, and drawing has been shown to support word finding (Hung and Ostergren, 2019). If you are interested in learning more about this new grid set, please sign up to our launch webinar taking place on 26 November.
